Description
Not recommended. One of Daewoo's better cars, but that isn't saying much. Tacuma is a mid-sized people carrier that suffers from strange styling, poor dynamics and surprisingly high pricetags.

Contrà´le technique
Excepting the ugly styling, bizarrely by top design house Pininfarina, there is nothing you can fairly object to about the Tacuma. But then, there's nothing to like about it either. Practical bodyshell and spacious cabin gives it MPV kudos, but no other part of the experience distinguishes it. Insipid dynamics, cheap-feeling cabins and poor noise insulation are the predominant characteristics. The 1.6 motor lacks much urge, but the 2.0 is more than rapid enough. None of this answers the question of 'why?' though - Citroen, Renault and Vauxhall all offer vastly superior products for not much more money.
Points positifs
- A roomy five-seater midi-MPV, cheap to buy
- Engines are quite lively and responsive
- Proving reliable and affordable to run
|
Points negatifs
- Looks ungainly, especially at the front
- Little image compared with Picasso, Scenic and Zafira
- Depreciates rather quickly from new
